We’re introducing MonJa mentors, please welcome Gema Gerelsaikhan, Managing Partner of Exponential Zaisan Partners.

Ms. Gerelsaikhan has more than 10+ years of experience in investment, marketing/communications, and business development in the mining, technology, real estate, and hospitality sectors. Currently, she’s Managing Partner at Exponential Zaisan Partners, a seed stage Mongolia focused VC fund and Non-Executive Director at TMK Energy, a South Gobi Natural Gas project in Mongolia listed on the Australian Stock Exchange (ASX: TMK), Founding Partner at Exponential Partners, a boutique investment brokerage and growth consultancy firm, which brought Startup World Cup (organized by Pegasus Tech Ventures $1.5B VC firm), Founder Institute (World’s largest pre-seed accelerator), and Fast Track Europe to Mongolia, as well as the organizer of Growth Summit Global.

Previously, she was the Director of Communications / Marketing at Shangri-La Hotel, Ulaanbaatar. She also headed the Singapore and Hong Kong offices of Asia Pacific Investment Partners (APIP) as Chief Marketing & Business Development Officer. Prior to joining APIP, Ms. Gerelsaikhan was Business Analyst at SouthGobi Resources, a TSX & HKEx listed coal mining company (TSX: SGQ & HKEx: 1878). She is a founding member of both the Mongolian Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong, as well as Mongolian Chamber of Trade and Commerce in Singapore (currently serving as President).

She holds Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees in Economics and Business Administration from Roskilde University in Denmark, is fluent in Mongolian and English, and speaks good Danish.
