We are introducing MonJa mentors. Please welcome Hideyuki Matsuda, Deputy General Manager of the Finance & Leasing Business Department at Marubeni Corporation.

Mr. Matsuda has more than 16+ years of experience in the finance business, such as M&A transactions and PMI in Japan, the US and Asian countries.

Currently, he is in charge of the growth of the finance-related portfolio companies as well as new business development in FinTech, especially in emerging countries. Previously, he was stationed in the US for 6 years and was responsible for equity investment into leasing and financing companies. He also has experience as an investment manager at a private equity fund managed by Marubeni in Japan, where he focused on buy-out investments in a wide range of industries.

He holds an MBA degree from Olin Business School, Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri and a Bachelor’s degree in Law from the University of Tokyo.
